On occasion I’m rather literal in my sartorial choices. The sight of burnished leaves drifting from the trees fills me with the impulse to dress in synergy the environment. This vintage 50’s dress is an old favourite – it was in perfect, mint condition when I bought it. Alas, after a few outings it’s rather more careworn. I’m incapable of keeping pretty things pristine – inevitably there’ll be some spillage or a tumble where and my clothes will end up tattered and stained. However, I’ve come to accept imperfections as an unavoidable side effect of my clumsy oafishness. I’ve paired the dress with a sheepskin cape that I bought on Ebay, it’s super cosy and is perfect for the first chilly days of Fall.
