I hope everyone had a lovely festive break. I had a quiet celebration with my family and was in bed by 11pm on New Year’s Eve. Gone are the days when I’d stay up well into the small hours of January 1st, but that’s fine by me. I’m now 20 weeks pregnant and my growing bump is limiting my sartorial choices. There were lots of lovely clothes in the shops in the run up to Christmas but I couldn’t wear any of them, which is probably for the best as it stopped me buying stuff I don’t need. Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a lovely, restful holiday. In the past I’ve started wearing spring trends by the 2nd January. Inevitably I’ve ended up cold, grumpy and desperate for a cardigan. This year I’m going to do my best to dress appropriately and not give myself frostbite for the sake of being ahead of the game. However, patience has never been a virtue of mine and the lure of the new may well get the better of me. I’m trying to perfect the art of trans-seasonal dressing, incorporating the new with the practical. This dress is from Girls on Film and I’ve layered it over an old jersey dress from Topshop.
